What is computer science?

Computer science is a science that studies methods , processes, techniques , in order to store, process and transmit information and data in digital format.

History

THE Polytechnic Gregorio Urbano Gilbert , ( Reform Plan ) was founded on December 2, 1974 . Home their jobs Secondary teacher at Liceo José Dubeau , where he remained for four (4 ) years ago. In 1978 it moved to its current premises located at José Eugenio Kunhardt .

In 1983, he was baptized with the name of Gregorio Urbano Gilbert . In his work with the system startup Reform . This system was implanted in 1970 in Dominican Republic , with various centers throughout the country and one of them is the Gregorio Urbano Gilbert ¨ ¨ Puerto Plata.

Here the student started from first Reform (7th ) and finished in sixth Reform (4th Baccalaureate ) , this center represents a single school from seventh to fourth high school , not divided into primary and secondary 

In 1988 , then-Secretary of Education Fine Arts and Culture , ordered the abolition System Reform and schools that are governed by the system reform , had to adapt their lesson plans and materials to the traditional system .

Our academic staff , administrative and technical staff has been selected according to the parameters required by the Ministry of Education, permanent under constant review to ensure full implementation of the educational philosophy of the institution , to contribute to national development , forging human beings capable of being agents of change and inserted in this globalized world , with strong spiritual values ​​.
